This Policy applies to: — the Pontigi website and web portals; — the Pontigi candidate mobile app for iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play); — related services such as matching, interview invitations, and notifications. The candidate app is a native shell that opens the candidate portal in a secure in-app browser (WebView). Account sign-in, profile data, and most processing happen on our servers under the same rules as the website.

We may process: — account data (name, email, company, role, authentication data); — candidate profile data (resume/CV, skills, experience, contacts, work preferences, visibility settings); — job posts and hiring criteria; — platform interaction data (matches, invitations, statuses, calendar/interview details); — technical data (IP address, browser or app type, device/OS type, language, cookies or similar technologies on the web, activity and security logs); — mobile push data when you allow notifications: a device push token, platform (e.g. Android/iOS/Expo), and related delivery status. We do not sell personal data. The candidate app does not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location for core features. Location or other details appear only if you choose to add them to your profile.

Data is processed to: — create and manage accounts and provide the service; — match candidates and jobs; — schedule interviews and facilitate communication between candidates and employers; — send service notifications (including optional push notifications about invitations, matches, and important account events); — secure the platform, prevent abuse, and support users; — improve the product with aggregated or de-identified insights where appropriate; — comply with legal obligations.

On iOS and Android, push notifications are optional. If you grant permission, we store a push token linked to your candidate account so we can deliver alerts (for example, interview invitations). You can refuse or later disable notifications in your device settings. Turning notifications off or signing out removes or stops use of that device token where technically possible. Push delivery may involve Apple Push Notification service (APNs), Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), and the Expo push service acting as intermediaries. Those providers process device tokens and message metadata as needed to deliver notifications.

For users in the EU/EEA (and where similar laws apply), processing is based on: — contract performance (providing the platform and matching features); — legitimate interests (security, service improvement, essential communications about the service); — consent (marketing where used, non-essential cookies, and OS-level push permission where required); — legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data. Sharing may occur with: — infrastructure and service providers (hosting, email, analytics, error monitoring) under data processing agreements; — push notification providers (Expo, and through them Apple APNs and/or Google FCM) to deliver mobile alerts; — employers — only within the hiring process and under role-based access; — authorities when required by law or a binding order. Sign-in via third parties (e.g. Google or LinkedIn), if offered, is governed also by those providers' policies.

Our providers may process data in countries outside your country of residence, including outside the EEA. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent lawful transfer mechanisms.

Data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion or inactivity to resolve disputes, secure the service, and meet legal requirements. Device push tokens are kept while linked to an active device/session and removed when you disconnect the device, sign out of the app (where implemented), or when the token becomes invalid.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. To delete your account and related personal data (including for App Store / Google Play requirements), email privacy@pontigi.com from the address linked to your account and ask for account deletion. We will process the request within the timeframes required by law (typically within 30 days), unless we must retain specific information for legal reasons.

Pontigi is intended for adults seeking employment or hiring professionals. The service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact privacy@pontigi.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We use organizational and technical measures to protect data: encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and activity auditing. No system is perfectly secure, but we continuously improve protection.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be announced in the service or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the website or mobile apps after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
